Always keep a copy of v8.1.2 just in case before you installed v9.0 and don't forget to keep a backup copy of you're Outpost Pro settings as well.

Mind is running very smooth and no glitch or problems so far on W8 when I did a clean installed it went smooth as a baby bum.

I am testing the security suite in a virtual machine. The UI reminds me of ESET Smart Security. A lot. So far it has slowed my VM drastically, but it has less resources than the host machine so I don't know how much weight I give to that. It is still noticeably slower than the other suites I have tested on the same VM though.

Oh guru hayc59 please tell me how to upgrade to the new version 9. I have 2 'puters still using v8.1.1

Do I install over the top ? or uninstall via add/remove and install the new version?

What did you do...or... what do you recommend?

many thanks sir, as your advice will assist me to do the same.

    -cheers,
    feandur

installing over the top went smoothly, rebooted and all was fine.

made a bootable cd and a bootable usb stick, both use linux & the scan went smoothly. didn't find anything of course.

the improved installer hopefully should eliminate the need for a clean install.

will try on my win 8.1 virtual pc next.

edited: installed again faultlessly and quickly on my win8.1 VM

    Actually it's $60.
The price you have given is for Firewall Pro.
    ;)
