Is there such function at outpost firewall to trigger of the attack alert by just blinking the lower right icon, in order to warn that someone is scaning or attacking. Or pop up a warning message?

    Hi Frank.
No. Outpost just does it's job without need of intervention by the operator so there are no bells and whistles.
First of all, it is highly unlikely that most individuals ever come under an "attack". Firewalls block scans, port probes, unsolicited connection attempts, malformed packets, etc. Most people find that after a while, if they do have some notification set, it becomes very bothersome, because there is usually a lot of background noise on the net.
Since so many people have inquired about this though, at one time Mikhail did indicate he would probably put some kind of notification in some future build, that would be optional.
Last. It is possible to get notified if a certain situation occurs. You can make a rule to deny something, for instance a port, and check the box to report it. Then, if Outpost blocks traffic on that port, you will get a popup window notifying you.
