    Outpost 6.7.3 3058.452.0725 Released
    *Release date: 8 February 2010*

    What's new:

    * Increased frequency of malware database updates: updates are now delivered three times a day (minimum) on weekdays
    * Anti-Malware engine now gets auto-updated through regular malware database updates, meaning that for receiving new features and fixes no separate product update is needed

The following issues are resolved (only significant ones are listed):

    * Service was unavailable if installing on a low-power PC

Outpost may not be the best thing in the world for malware defense, but that test is probably the most worthless test ever.

"hey guys let's get old versions of antiviruses and test them on new malware, yay"

True, but VB/Outpost AV are sliding at a time when free tools like MSE are becoming top-notch.
Hope Outpost 7.x at their new ver5 engine gives them the needed boost.

In a russian web site the best 2 AV of the test are russian and have the same score...
    Dr.Web Anti-Virus 5.00 (81%)
    Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (81%) Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (81%)

They are only using 16 malware files.

Agnitum is also russian, but it failed in the test :) Go figure ...
Not the best of tests, but still Outpost's Anti-Malware weakness is a open secret.

better to start our own test ;) (i.e. every user will start the test and create a website and post the result). testing of antivirus nowadays growing like mushroom these days:eek: , and some user starting to support it and somebody blames it.o_O (i.e. the tested antivirus products have to pass all the test in this world, the antivirus company do not have any other job, other than concentrating on these test, this is ridiculous). some user all ways says is favorite or whatever antivirus he/she is using has to score 100 out of 100 in all the test, this never possible and sad part they never ever accept the truth:doubt: . even humans never ever score 100 out of 100 in all math test ( he he he me three never did it :p :'( ).

Well, same here I don't consider I have a low power PC. AMD 3900+ with 1GB of RAM. Yet I was affected with this problem of "Service unavailable". At least it is fixed now and my lower PC is running fine.:D :)

Thanks for the heads-up, but I can't see myself ever using Outpost again (even though I have 2 lifetime licenses for the firewall, totaling 4 PCs, and 1 lifetime license for the suite, totaling 3 PCs).

Bad taste in my mouth after countless attempts to join the official support forum were ignored.
