Outlook Express backup of email folders and settings

Hello,

I want to reinstall Windows Xp soon, as I got a virus and after cleaning the computer doesn't work as smooth as before. I gives some strange erros and sometimes it justs hangs up... I want to backup Outlook Express emails and settings before reinstall, and restore afterwards. Any help ?

sir erik, this software can backup your profiles and your costumized word filters? i have many word filters and its too hard for me to make this always when im going to fresh install....

 

Frankly I don't know, because I never used it, not even Outlook Express.
I use the much safer Thunderbird for email and moved my emails + address-book to another partition (data partition).
I backup my data partition, including emails, with Acronis True Image Home.

There are users at Wilders who use PicoBackup and were satisfied.
I guess the word filters are also included in the settings.
What's the point of a backup, if it doesn't restore everything ?
To be very sure, you have to try PicoBackup.
There are many Outlook backup softwares, but most of them are paywares.

backup
up the email folders and address book, but nothing on how to save
settings
and signatures; and then I've found some nice software tools that
backup
everything including settings, rules and signatures, such as :
