Outlook 2007 email very slow to download

    It was taking over an hour to download 50 - 60 emails which was very frustrating and naturally I thought it was an issue with Outlook 2007.
    After trying everything with Outlook 2007 running on Win 7 and tweaking it, I then found out that it was the new version of ESET that was causing the problem. Through a process of elimination I eventually un-ticked "Enable POP3 protocol checking" and seems to have resolved the problem.
    Hopefully this will help someone else who comes across a similar problem.
