in china, nobody knows the official chinese name of nod32.

nod32 has business agents in china ,but hasn't a chinese name.

when i tell my friends i'm using nod32, they often ask me
    " nod32? is it norton(诺顿)?"

a good commodity needs a good local language name.

    only this name,nod32?
does nod32 have a name in your language? what does it mean?

In Chinese I'd call it 绿盾, which means literally in English: Green Shield

Green was derived from its color theme, with shield being suggestive of its functionality

Some people would call it Electronic Eye, from its splash screen, some say Nor-de, as directly translated from pronouciation which makes no sense in Chinese...and the most funny one is Nodding Head 32, which is an apparent misinterpretation of its original concept...

Personally I still feel Green Shield is the best, easy to read and remember and meaningful too

    What do you guys think?
