    Hi Guys,

Have you guys tried Ossec? It seems like an enterprise solution. Is it suited to the home pc market and smb market?

    Cheers

Home PC? Well, I'd say no unless you are a maniac. :D You need a central Unix server (which communicates with the agent on clients) for this to be usable on Windows.

Is there a home version where the server and client is installed on the same machine?

The server part simply doesn't exist for Windows.

Thanks for that. Hope they create a windows version that abstracts the server-agent distinction they have so that it can be run entirely on the host.
