I'm sorry to bother anyone on here I'm wondering if theres a howto or info on how to spoof the linux OS signature to prevent things like nmap and superscan from finding out which OS I'm running Again I'm sorry if im being a noob
Older but probably still relevant: http://www.zog.net/Docs/nmap.html A couple of tools that might help: http://tuxtraining.com/2008/06/02/defeat-nmap-os-fingerprinting-with-ippersonality
The only service I'm planning on running is the apache web server i want to spoof the OS signature so the machine can hopefully blend in with the crowd
