OS Selector, MBR error 1

I am unable to boot to my default OS (XP). It gives me

MBR error 1

If I boot the DD CD-Rom that I made then without going into OS Selector OR into the Suite I can just press the windows icon and it works no problem. OS Selector also loads from the CD-Rom and works fine. Only when I try to boot normally this happens.

Have you tried reinstalling OSS?

Are you using the latest build of OSS (2,160)?

 

10.0.0.2160 is my build.

Could you clarify what you mean by reinstall? Is that via

1) Unistall from the Control Panel
2) Reinstall from scratch

OR

Use the Rescue Media and then REACTIVE and or REPAIR?

Either reinstall OSS from Windows or boot to the DD CD and reinstall/repair install OSS.

It should recognize the existing installation and just install over it. If OSS is still booting (you get the OSS menu) then it doesn't need to be reactivated.

 

Ok, something strange happened, after so many attemps at installs/activates/repairs, it's working again and I do not know what the exact thing I did due to doing it to many times..... *sigh*. But it's working now, thanks for your assistance.
