I just bought a new HP media center with windows vista home premium installed.
To make new partitions and stuff i installed acronis disk director 10 with the os selector trial, but now, whenever i turn the pc on i cannot boot into vista since acronis os selector starts but it doesnt detect windows vista! my pc is now rendered completely useless! any help would be greatly appreciated!

    thnx in advance.

ps:i have OS Selector 10 installed

Did you install OSS from Vista or from the DD cd? It seems to work better when installed from Vista.

You may need to boot from the DD cd and uninstall OSS.

If Vista will still not boot, boot from the Vista DVD and do a boot repair.

Are you using the latest build of DD/OSS (2,160)?

If you don't plan on running multiple OS's on the computer, you don't need OSS installed.

If it gives you the repair option when you boot from it. You'd have to boot it and see. I know the retail and regular OEM versions do.

But first boot from the DD cd and try to uninstall OSS. Hopefully, you made a DD cd. If you didn't you'll need to install it on another computer so you can create one. Just don't install OSS.
