I use version 10.0 of True Image
Because I make me backups mostly in the night I would like to have a option like 'Turn of PC after backup'.

Would using the post processing option with the entry shutdown -s -f do the trick?

I know this tools, I use 'Smart shutdown'. You can set a time after that the PC will shutdown.
But the problem is you don;t know how long the backup time will during..
and the time True Image displays as remaining is many time not correct
So, the risk is; PC is turned off while backup is not done
    That is why my request..

What do you mean with this, I don't understand

Create a scheduled task that runs at shutdown. I do this on my machines and it works quite well. When the backup is finished your machine will shutdown.

aha! I understand what you are saying...
I see the option in the task option indeed.
But...i don't want every day a backup, it is too big and costs too much energy/time. And there isn't a option 'once a month/week', only 'once a day'..

So: my request is still there: option in task or backup wizard
'turn off PC after task is done'
In my opinion it can simply be integrated, as many other software got this option..

    Hi Colin,

I'm not sure about TI 10 or TI 11 but setting TI 9's Default or Manual backup option "Pre/Post command" > "After backup process:" to issue the Command & Arguments shutdown -s -f doesn't work I'm afraid. The backup process doesn't actually finish until the user clicks OK in the "Operation has completed successfully" pop-up window. This is the case whether the backup is started manually, or via a sheduled task.

    Regards

    Menorcaman
