Yes it is, I'm on the latest stable version of Opera 25 & that show big speed dial thumbs options is there but you have to tick show advanced settings at the bottom of the browser settings options for it to show. It only shows when you are using the old speed dial page & not when you use the new speed dial page. :)

A few little annoyances, but I am generally liking this browser.

    hi
    opera 26.0.1656.24 is out

may i ask you a question about opera ?
how should i update shockwave flash ?
in the adobe download page there is a beta plugin for chrome and opera
seems the plugin for other browsers like firefox doesn't work with chrome and opera , do it?

    thanks

The adobe Flash plugin installer (not the activeX one) will install Flash for FF, Opera & other plugin based browsers, Chrome comes with it's own version of Flash.

Can't check right now as Opera is on my laptop (in a bag in the back of my car LOL), but in my experience Opera and Firefox use the same flash plugin.

I won't post the link to the full flash player installers without any added bloat but just search for flash player distribution3 & you will find them.

Manually triggering update via Opera GUI but it says my version 25 is up to date. That's strange.

EDIT: Finally got it! It took a couple of restarts to bring the new version up. I have noticed that Opera icon didn't change the version number. Though it's not a big deal. No blog post yet. Probably nobody in Opera who could do that ...

Hmm, still nothing on the new release, but the installers on their site are also v26, so it doesn't look like they pulled the update.

It's a stupid approach (by Opera folks). They released v26 via autoupdate and also downloadable from Opera web. Numbering 26 means that this is a major stable release. As usual they should come up with a blog post and explain it. Lack of communication is one of the biggest problem in Opera.

And that will be (and already is) their downfall. That and their arrogance (we'll do things OUR way! We don't care about what the users want).

I think they communicate pretty well on their blog compared to Mozilla and Google, but they won't (understandably) reveal all the things they're working on.

Finally, the new Opera 26 has been brought also for Linux. Here's FAQ.
