is anyone else getting consistent BSOD's wen trying to uninstall the beta?

 

you are running avast correct? they have been notified about the issue. reboot to safe mode uninstall then reboot normal

ur kidding me right... i just installed the last RC... lol, well now that the RC's install in the default directory i can simply install this over RC1 right? unlike how i had to uninstall the beta version and install the RC one.

 

I didn't get BSODs, but Programs and Featues hung and I had to go to Safe mode to uninstall the beta.

 

correct now you simply upgrade from here on unless they change things

rc3 running awesome here.. seems much faster than the beta also..at least pages load smoother and not as choppy at times

 

ok thats good news it was a pain uninstalling the beta, i see in the changelog they fixed crashing on windows, does that refer to the avast BSOD bug?

 

not sure i have not tried to uninstall it yet. ill do that tonight and see. but i honestly think that is more to do with avast than opera. on a system with norton 2011 opera uninstalled fine for me. so not sure who is really responsible. i have notified both about the issues though as have many others
