    Have to get my ISP to mirror it for dl for "free" ( ie not part of my monthly allowance: things are done differently here :rolleyes: )

    check out those beryl-like desktop effects... NICE! i like the gnome desktop better than the KDE desktop, just a personal preference.

    Why u prefer Gnome over KDE?
    To me KDE looks more elegent. What do you think?

    Lately I am leaning toward KDE myself.. Glad they came out with a live cd finally, this is one super nice distro, on the top of my list along with PCLOS.

    It's very light and compact. It lacks some of the "advanced features" of GNOME/KDE, but that doesn't bother me.

    Have you tried ZenWalk? It's a pretty nicely done Xfce oriented distro...

    It's a little faster than KDE/GNOME. It's more noticeable with low amounts of memory (<512 MB). It feels very ergonomic.
