OpenOffice Experience?

    Anybody using OpenOffice with XP?

    Any problems or incompatabilities?

    Hi Ronjor,

    I use OO(spread+text) on an other machine(XP) without any probs so far.

    Using it on W2K and linux. No other office for me.
    Compatibility is good. Some MS Office templates are converted to OO okay, but once you convert them back to MSoff some layout is gone. But that's no big deal.
    Did you ever convert files between different MSoffice versions ...? ;)

    Totally irrelevant to the question....but I had Open Office before I got M$ office....to be quite honest I really can't tell much difference....my OS is 98se...(Well I did say Irrelevant)... :D

    OpenOffice works good on Sun JAVA VM, not Miicrosoft JAVA VM.
