Office, suite, cloud. Sounds familiar. Google Docs. Yup. Microsoft Office 365. Yup. LibreOffice. No. Wait, what? Yup. Here's an early review of Open365, a LibreOffice-based cloud office suite. All this and more in my latest OCS-Mag article. Enjoy.

The free rival to Microsoft Office 365. In need a lot of work before its ready for work online.

I raise here again my complaint - no free note-taking tool? You can download and install Microsoft One Note for free and the Linux world still has no open source equivalent in their office suite.

Right now the gold standard for the online Office suite is Microsoft Office 365. And you don't need a desktop client thingy to run it, so it works across ALL platforms.

Even my venerable PPC Mac Leopard, that Open365 will never support.

Interesting alternative but I will most likely stick to Google Docs and Office Online.
