cheater87, I believe you are talking about the Favicon that Webmasters add to their Web site's root directory and this is the favicon that should be showing up in the Yahoo page address bar: http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/yg/img/logo/favicon.ico.

The problem with the address bar is that the URL (groups.yahoo.com) does not match where the Favicon presently resides (us.i1.yimg.com) thus is harder for IE to match its location. Perhaps the MySpace favicon is in a different URL than the page being accessed, same as Yahoo. To note, Firefox never has a problem showing favicons, no matter what the HTML code says, as long as one has been created.

To verify what I'm saying, on the address bar, left click the E favicon (to the left of the http) once and hold it, then try to move the favicon to the right a couple of times and the favicon will appear. You can do the same with this page if you don't see the Wilders favicon with IE.

As to why the favicon is not appearing on the top right, where it says "Yahoo! Search" I don't know, but maybe the above trick might make it appear there as well. In either case, it's a foible of IE and nothing sinister IMO.

sooflymami, I just replied to your PM.

Post #2 above explains how to make the favicon show. Left click the E favicon (to the left of the http) once and hold it, then try to move the favicon to the right, while letting go of the button, a couple of times and the favicon will appear. You can do the same with this page if you don't see the Wilders favicon with IE.
