    o_O I think the author is a bit behind the times. 14nm technologies have been used in commercially available "Broadwell" Intel processors for over 2 years.

    Yeah Bill - I agree! But, what do you expect from a scientist stuck in a lab that just does the science and doesn't keep up with reading about breakthroughs? He probably had a brain fart, and his editor did too. Oh well, scientists have never been great writers, and some editors may not have kept up-to-date either.

    Well, I think if a scientist is going to talk about the state of the art, he/she should know where that is

    That's probably where the biggest fault lies (in terms of article publishing).
