Long, long time ago
I used that program even before I joined here it was ugly but it did it's job! Thanks for the Flashback Cudni
*shudders* Prevx has indeed moved quite a long way since those days Thanks for the blast from the past!
Where you there at that time Joe?
I wasn't I started with Prevx mid-2006
I hope you are going to be around for along time as you give us the best support around and I for one would miss that! I hope the powers that be knows your worth!!!!
I must admit I loved the old Prevx with all it's quirks and foibles.
Thanks I'm definitely sticking around
Thanks for that Cudni, a real blast from the past.
I still have the User Manuals for both Prevx 1 and Prevx 2 that I printed off at the time. As Joe says, it makes you realise how much Prevx has changed. But, I certainly miss the granularity of Prevx 2 which was much more like a HIPS then, would always alert you to anything trying to install - would be interesting to see how Prevx 2 would have fared against the new breed of Malware like the Rogue/Fake that seem to get by so many of the 'modern' AV without so much as a squeak. (PM me a download link for Prevx 2 please Joe and I'll try it out)
And last but not least - I miss the Prevx 'Traffic Lights'
I found a link for the Beta of Prevx 2 here:
I'm not sure how much functionality the old version will have.
I really miss those traffic lights too.
Umm..should I be embarrassed to say I still have a 'traffic light' on a couple of boxes
PS: if there are any PX v2.x going, I'll have one.
Downloaded and tried to install requires a Prevx 2.0 license which are no longer available
I think all Beta testers should have a generic key that can be used on all Prevx products (only joking)
My own fault, I should have kept my P2 license active
