    There are tools available to let you encrypt an unsecured public network so its as strong as WEPA/WPA security on a trusted home network.

    If you secure the connection, this renders MITM and malware attacks useless since the attacker can't intercept information being exchanged between you and your destination.

    Prevention is far better than the cure. If you need to do a financial transaction online, always use a secured network. Or try to encrypt an unsecured network.

    Locking out cyber-criminals, thieves and scammers will make us all safer online.
