On Demand Scans

Maybe it sounds a stupid question, but will a scheduled On Demand scan run if the computer has gone to sleep?

Hoping to be a bit more professional in doing scans, I tried to set up a scheduled scan to run at 8pm in the evening when I'm normally not using the computer. The scan did not run and I'm wondering if the problem is the computer being in the sleep mode.

 

I presume this could be accomplished by creating a task in Windows Scheduler that will run ecls.exe as an external application along with the desired parameters.
