Is it to early or fast, or can we assume that the problem emanates from using a non standard MBR and the ordinary heuristic scan? The advanced heuristics seems to work both for me and Chiana at least?

I do notice that Chiana was able to leave Heuristics on when Signatures were disabled, so whatever that means :)
I would say definately related to using non-standard MBR but after that I'll leave it to the real experts :)

    Hello NOD32 user,

I've had DriveCrypt running for several months and uninstalled it about the time 2.5 was released. So, I installed it again yesterday and found no issues or problems when invoking an On-demand scan.

Now that is interesting o_O - was it definately the 'PlusPack' that you were using?

:) Just thought I'd make sure - you know how it is :D
    It's good to hear :)
Would you suggest to E-Buzz to try a clean re-install when he has time?

I am using version 2.70 of Drivecrypt Pluspack. The issue might be with that version and NOD32?

And you are using pre-boot authentication and all disks encrypted?

Yes, I was before but had no issues. But this time I didn't setup pre-boot authentication. This was a bit of a headache to uninstall for some reason, due to the pre-boot authentication, so I wasn't keen on running it again. :doubt:

I´ve updated my version of DCPP to 3.0 (was running 2.70 before) and so far it seems like the problems i had vanished. I can now use the heuristic option instead of advanced heuristic in on-demand scanning. So far only pre boot authentication (altered MBR) installed, i´ll check back when the disks are also encrypted.

Thanks for letting us all know. At some point soon (time permitting) I'll repeat the same on a test box, but I believe you're at the solution :)
I look forward to hearing when you've also got the next step done and encrypted :)

    Hi,

I've just installed v2.50.25 and the NOD32 on demand scanner is up and running with heuristics, advanced heuristics and boot sectors enabled.

But, NOD now reports a possible TSR boot virus in the MBR. This was the message I was receiving in a previous version.

    Regards

    Chiana
