Olmarik Trojan-Tips/Recommendations?

What are the best/proven ways to remove the Olmarik Trojan and its variants?

I had someone use the AVIRA Rescue System CD on their PC and he reported two Trojans were found and "renamed". However, he still has the same infection symptoms. He remembered that the Trojan name started with an "O". I asked him if it was Olmarik, and he said that he thinks that that was the name.

Next Step: I suggested that he run a scan with Dr.Web Cureit. After that, run Kasperksy's TDSSKiller.

Just as with any malware if one removal tool does not work use additional. For the one you mentioned also try Eset standalone tool and or Norton PowerEraser
