Old HIPS vs New Up to Date HIPS?

    you mean the free version too?
    also read that SSM is abandomware..is this true,where can i get it.

    i dont know about the free version but the paid one protects the registry very well;)

    Yes, it seems not possible to buy a license. :rolleyes: The buy button does not work on the infoprocess website. Not a good sign.

    So what the heck is better to go with?

    I personally thought HIPS was all the same... :blink:

    this is how I define Behavioural(modern) HIPS over Classical HIPS

    MAMUTU/Threatfire = Behavioural HIPS (BH)
    Prevx and those that have Heuristics = Behaviour Blockers (BB)
    Online Armor HIPS/Comodo Defense+/ Malware Defender = Classical HIPS does not have to be old. (CH)

    Classical HIPS work the best if you set them highest, and are you no boring to see the pop ups and give allow or deny.

    Well I'm just going to try OA++ for now and see how that is...

    As soon as I can find a free license, since they were giving them away earlier this year, if I can find one...

    thanks for the explanation..was confused to..
    i remember trying online armor free like a year ago,i was surprises it was light in resources,guess ifit continue to be the same.

    AppGuard works similar to a sandbox or even like anti-executable;)
