If I rename full and associated incremental backups, will TI8 still be able to restore them properly? I realize that I would need to keep the new names the same on all versions and the proper incrementing numeric sufix to identify the incremental backups.

    Example:

    Original names:
DadPC PrimaryMaster C,D- (the full backup)
DadPC PrimaryMaster C,D-2 (the first incremental backup)
DadPC PrimaryMaster C,D-3 (the second incremental backup)

    Rename to:
    DadPC 1M C,D-
    DadPC 1M C,D-2
    DadPC 1M C,D-3

Would this be OK and still allow TI8 to restore everything properly?
    Thanks for the help,
    Skyhawk

I've never done it like your example but I have renamed a .tib file on my second hard drive and it did restore. No burning by me cuz it just takes to long, thus the 2nd hdd. ;)

My .tib files are on an external firewire hard drive. Hope someone who's renamed complete and incremental backups, and restored all without problems can confirm.
    Thanks,
    Skyhawk
