    Hi Occuda,

    Before you start, please unzip hijackthis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder in the folder it's in.
    These easily get lost in a Temp folder.

    Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://home.peoplepc.com/search

    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.seekseek.com/quicksearch.asp?session=5DAEB4A2-65D9-4087-AB3A-E213259B39D2&version_id=18
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {707E6F76-9FFB-4920-A976-EA101271BC25} - C:\Program Files\TV Media\TvmBho.dll
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 ieautosearch
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 auto.search.msn.com
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 search.netscape.com

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdReg] C:\WINDOWS\UpdReg.EXE

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [slmss] C:\Program Files\Common Files\slmss\slmss.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Mwsvm] C:\WINDOWS\mwsvm.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [fash] C:\WINDOWS\fash.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Debug Rdr] C:\PROGRA~1\frag link nurb\Bows Draw.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [TV Media] C:\Program Files\TV Media\Tvm.exe

    Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
    Launch the application, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox.
    Check all instances of inetadpt.dll (and nothing else), and move them to the "Remove" pane.
    Then click Finish.

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\Program Files\TV Media <= entire folder
    C:\Program Files\frag link nurb <= entire folder
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\slmss <= entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\mwsvm.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\fash.exe

    Then boot normally and download VX2Finder from this link:
    http://tools.zerosrealm.com/VX2Finder.exe

    Run Vx2Finder click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.

    Copy and paste the contents of the log into your next reply here.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Nothing worth saving in that list.

    Stay off the net until all files are deleted (which is after the second reboot)

    Open VX2Finder and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button.

    Then select the *Delete these files* button.
    You will be left with notice about one to be deleted on reboot.
    It will ask to reboot on deletion of the last file (do that)

    After that last file is gone go to
    Start > run > type regedit > enter and navigate to :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\GuardianDIBGX

    (Note : the five letters in caps at the end may have changed [DIBGX] but it will still start with Guardian)

    Right click on the Guardian?? key and select delete.
    Close Regedit.
    Reboot.

    Open VX2Finder again and select:
    User Agent$ > yes to confirm delete.
    and then
    Restore Policy

    Exit and reboot.

    Run Vx2Finder once more and click on the *click to find VX2.BetterInternet* button. Then click *make log*.
    Post it here with a fresh HijackThis log please.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    And you will have to repeat the ones in my last post with VX2Finder I'm afraid.

    It's not gone yet.

    I think what we are missing is protection.

    New ones are coming in faster then we can clean them out.

    Please read: Why did I get infected in the first place

    Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50032
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll/sa
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50032

    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50032
    R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll/sa
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 auto.search.msn.com
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 search.netscape.com
    O1 - Hosts: 207.36.196.189 ieautosearch

    O3 - Toolbar: &Search Toolbar - {339BB23F-A864-48C0-A59F-29EA915965EC} - C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinTools] C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools\WToolsA.exe

    O16 - DPF: {26E8361F-BCE7-4F75-A347-98C88B418322} - http://dst.trafficsyndicate.com/Dnl/T_40/QDow.cab

    Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common files\WinTools <= entire folder
    C:\Program Files\Toolbar <= entire folder

    Make sure to stay offline when you use VX2Finder.

    Regards,

    Pieter
