Have just started with Office 2007 and it does seem to want to go on line quite often.

I tried RSS feeds in outlook and decided that this was not the way to deal with RSS. now I find that every so often Office tries to check on line for RSS feeds.
I know that I can stop this with a software firewall but does anyone know how to turn the blaster thing off from within Office ?

    thanks

You can disable the synchronisation of RSS-Feeds under options\advanced (See the screen - sry is a German Outlook...)

Thanks DevilFrank - but that didn't help. RSS continued to try and connect to
the net. Fortunately I only tried this a few days ago and restoring an image solved the problem. I would still like to know to stop Office from phoning home all the time - without having to use a firewall to block.
