Number of sigs

I know there has been some server problems as discussed in this thread:

But don't know if this is related:

After a successful update fourteen hous ago, I had 184 sigs more than
stated on Ewido's site. After a new successful update just now, I still have 184 sigs MORE than stated.

My number is 494.771 as opposed to 494.587 on Ewido's site.

Any comments?

EDIT: Just downloaded and ran manual installer for the sigs,
I am still on 494771.

 

Yesterday I was saying to just be patient. I got up today and found that AVG/AS could not connect to the server again. I am way behind in updates at this point: 493,957 signatures. I don't know what's going on, but I don't recall Ewido having this much trouble updating before. Perhaps I was just lucky. This needs to be improved!

 

Well, heck!!! I just tried to download the signatuare installers manually from the Ewido.net website, and the server timed out for both the daily and the full installer downloads. I hope they are making improvements quickly and get back to normal. MY firewall can't be blocking it because it has always had full permission. Most frustrating!!!

 

Yes,after playing my firewall's setting i saw this thread.There is a problem.I'm on 494.771 now.

 

When I updated a couple of hours ago, I had to try several times to get through. (as of yesterday).

According to Ewidos site, the defs were updatet 12:15 CEST to 494.587 sigs.
That is 3 and a half hours back in time. (I am in CEST timezone, too.)

I was afraid my Ewido defs had gotten a hickup, ran manual update, but no change from my 494.771.

Perhaps somebody could post their number of signatures?

494.771 must be correct, then

 

If you have Kaspersky Internet Security, you don't need Ewido. I've found Ewido capable of detecting nothing more than false positives. A couple of days later I had it uninstalled. My computer's been running fine as ever, and faster without Ewido

I was just now able to update using the manual updater within the program.
My computer runs just fine with AVG/AS and WIndows Live One Care. The only problem I have had is recent update problems.

 

Ewido's page now shows 494.771.

2. Yes, you were stating a plain fact: You don't find Ewido useful for YOU.

3. Yes, you mentioned Ewido, but not related to this thread. Only some personal opinions about it. We are on Ewido support-forum.
