Another final round tomorrow. But I don't think I'll be tuning in. Don't even recognize any of those on the leader board. I guess the big boys are taking a week off after last week's struggle.

Just goes to show you that getting your tour card doesn't guarantee notoriety. These off-week tours give the no-names a chance to be seen, maybe for the last time. :D

I don't know if I could take the pressure of what to do with all the money. I would probably be at the mall all day, shirking my responsibilities here at Wilders. And I enjoy cooking so much, not to mention cleaning the house. When would I find the time fo those things, not to mention golf?? I really feel sorry for Phil and Tiger. They missing out on all the finer things in life! :D

Have not seen him in a while. He must be spending a lot of time on his boat. A few years ago, that style hat he wears was selling like hotcakes around here. Also a local favorite. :D

What with his shoulder injury/surgery & his far-flung business empire, Norman has little time for the game anymore. He was probably the most maddeningly blessed/cursed player of his era. More 2nd place finishes in "majors" than anyone during that time (though he did win 2 Brit Opens). Lost due to choking (remember The Masters against Faldo?) & due to opponents' shots so lucky as to defy description. Yet, through it all, he maintained an affable public demeanor. I don't think he was quite so popular with his fellow pros, but they can be a jealous & cranky bunch.

    What's in a name?

The Booz Allen Classic? What is THAT o_O Sounds like it was named after some drunken comedy team.... :D

A little off-topic here, but I must make note to any Texans that Cal State Fullerton whupped the University of Texas today to take the CWS baseball title.

My Dodgers can't suck enough, so I gotta gloat where I can... :doubt:

Do they still use metal bats? Hate that "tink" sound & the inflated slugging stats they create.

I don't know!! I can't see the point in aluminum bats. Doesn't seem to be good training for the pros.

OK, getting back on subject... I seem to remember some fine golfers came out of UT. Can you name any?

Without Googling, I'm "stuck" for the moment. Seems Univ of Houston has produced good golfers, too. Freddie Couples maybe o_O o_O

I saw him on the tube today. My memory is very limited at times. This is one of those times. :)
