Out of curiosity, I had an opportunity, to try to Backup an Image of vista Home Basic to a External USB 250 HD
Unfortunately, Acronis TI[ Versio 10 B492] did not recognize the External USB HD and offer to create just a "secure zone'.
I have not posted for quite awhile, have this been dealt with? Thanks for your patience.

To get around this you will have to create the BartPE cd and incorporate the True Image plug-in into Bart. This will use windows drivers, instead of Linux, which will see your external drive.

Don't understand your comments about secure zone. A secure zone should NOT be created on an external drive.

    Hello niteghost,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please describe the problem in some more details? Are you using Acronis True Image from Windows, or via Acronis Bootable Rescue Media? What option are you choosing? Are there any error messages? What exactly do they say?

    Thank you.
