not able to browse internet or download but still connected

    the anti-virus software i have is avast and it tells me it has blocked an attack from 134.?.X.X the question mark i forgot the Xs are random
    avast tells me that lsass expliot 134.?.X.X is being attacked and then i can't browse any web site or download

    i only reinstalled the Windows XP 3 weeks ago because a virus had locked me out of my account

    pfff, best to remove your email address in the future...

    is your system fully updated? did you tried to scan your system in safe mode with your security software?

    Does AVAST have a worm-blocking ["mini-firewall"] feature? Are you running the Windows firewall or a third-party firewall [ZA, Outpost, Sygate, Norton, etc.]? Is your system fully patched with all the critical updates available from Windows Update?
