I am currently using Norton 2003, and intend to change when my subscription runs out. That will be sometime in March. I had been thinking of AVG.

I have read that it is very difficult to uninstall Norton AV. So when I change, can I just download the new AV or will there be problems, and if so, how can I safely download a new AV after I uninstall Norton?

Is it true that Norton is difficult to uninstall?

    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Hi jer03,

This will come in handy. ;)

Ususally installing another AV goes smoothly after using the uninstall in Add/Remove Software combined with this utility.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Hi Pieter,
Many thanks. I am always hesitant to undertake some of these things that I have read cause a problem.

Of course, I know that if I have problems I can always come here and get help.

    Thanks again,
    Jerry
