Yes, at least with their dumbifying of free versions. I've got a bone to pick with anybody who cripples what they've made.

I didn't use it previously, so I guess it was more configurable before? I just tried it on my laptop, but it won't let me use Hotspot Shield for VPN protection. It blocks saying it's a web proxy, which of course it is, but Norton DNS is useless if you can't use a VPN with it. I'm surprised given how important security over open WiFi is. Am I missing something?

Hell lot more configurable, you get to choose which categories to block, blacklist, whitelist, etc.

I dont know if there exist any advantages, but they fix the problems with proxies, google and google translator so u can move to the new ones safely.

New Norton DNS: 198.153.192.40 & 198.153.194.40 currently are not working for me.
(The old Norton DNS addresses are working... 198.153.192.1 & 198.153.192.1)
Fortunately I had a backup server address listed (Comodo) that kicked in on one machine.
On the other, unfortunately, I had only the Norton address, and I just installed a new router and I was puzzled for awhile why the 2nd pc wouldn't connect to the net, until I thought to look at the DNS services.
