Can the key included be used on NIS 2012?

I seriously doubt that. NIS is more than the AV.

No, the keys are "product specific", but they are not limited by year. In other words keys from previous years work with the latest products, so sometimes you can get a deal by buying an older version. Norton products go on sale so often though that it hasn't been necessary for me. NIS seems to go on sale at Frys.com every couple of months.

I agree. But the other way around might work though :doubt:

I confess that I have, for years, bought all Norton IS/AV on ebay.

I did once... but keys got blacklisted 7 months after a seemingly legit subscription... I bought from a top-rated seller as well.

Did you get just a key or a boxed copy?
Many of the ones I have bought have been boxed copy where there was a rebate, and the original buyer bought it, got the rebate, and made a profit on ebay.

You can find some pretty good deals on Amazon with old versions, and just use the key on the latest release. Nothing at the moment though...when NIS 2012 is released expect some good deals.

I picked up a free after rebate (Rebate Visa card came in less than two weeks.), three PC cd a few weeks ago from newegg. My current Norton expires in March. At that time will I have to run the cd or is there a field I'll be able to just enter the new license number in? If there is I can't find it as I just checked. Thank you!

If you click "Renew", there will be a box to enter a new product key.

Well, bummer.... Your link shows it in stock but when I try to put it in my cart, even though it still says available to download now, it apparently is nonetheless out of stock and offers to email you when available.:(

Otherwise, it looks like a marvelous deal at $3.88 per machine-year.

Yeah pitty, it was a great deal. It may still be made available though. I opted to be notified if it is.

Thanks, I got the email. D---it, I decided to get 2x3-Pk for 1 year at $23.95 each just to have it all off of my plate (still have 12 days left on current licenses) and not have it hanging over my head after this weekend. What a difference a day makes.... paid double, in effect. My bad!

I'm no lawyer or fraud expert but I saw no red flags that prevented me from purchasing from them per my prior post. I've seen 3 year 3 PC licenses on sale at other reputable sellers and, FWIW, it seems to me there is a preponderance of positive feedback about Purplus to be found out there.

As for what I purchased, you'll have to ask me again in about one year and 12 days from now. ;)

Well, I bought the 3-user 3 year license. Hopefully, you can during those three years move your license to new computesr as you upgrade your current ones by contacting Symantec support!

Who's customer service? Symantec or Purplus? I ask because I got an invalid license from them before.
