I get this kind of crap all the time.
Due to the number of forums I post on and places I go, my "junk" email account gets around 20-30 viruses delivered every day. I have SBC Yahoo (with Symantec scanner)

NOD catches all kinds of crap every day that passes right through the yahoo scanners. I have even received several emails with Netsky Q attached and they went right on through the symantec scanners. Occassionally, I'll get an email saying that the SBC Symantec scanner has caught and cleaned such and such virus, but most of the time it goes right on through to my NOD.

    Good ol' NOD32 :)

At this point i kinda prefer GMail policy for attachements.
I have actually never seen a single malicious file to be delivered into my mailbox.

Good question. If you find out, let us know. :D I believe this particular "virus" comes in many variations as well.
I do have a Yahoo mail account and am not seeing viruses getting through to my inbox. o_O

I don't think they are about to tell me. ;) But I wonder about a time lag when a new worm comes out.

I must be very lucky or something, I use five different e-mails four regular, and one pop3 and I just don't get malware in my e-mail. I usually get at least fifteen to twenty five e-mails a day. My pop3's spam and virus scan catch everything. But my web mails don't let anything through either. Like I said must be lucky. ;)

I get lots of "questionable" e-mails landing in my yahoo mail bulk folder. But pretty much everything in there is spam, so I just delete it all.

It would not surprise me however if any of it contained malware.

That statement could be true regardless of the Av scanner employed by yahoo or Hotmail due to update frequency. Last I knew Trend succeded McAfee as Hotmails scanner unless it's changed again.

Usually it is based on which AV company gives them the best deal.

Yes it's Trend as I do have a Hotmail Addy but don't use it that much for E-mail!!

Just to add some more info: My ISP is Rogers and they got togeather with Yahoo so we can say it's RogersYahoo Account this is the first time I had to deal with Yahoo Mail I like there features and Bulk Folder as AntiSpam which most of the Infected Spam is stored!! I just wanted to point out The False Sence of Security alot of people do have, It does not matter to me because I have many Layers of Security but there are lot's without any, and they get infected!!

    Cheers,
