Im leanly towards AVG because ive read 360 isnt that good, but 360 does have better detection...

Have you tried them to see how they run?

360 is a dumbed-down version with less options; it doesn't even include right-click manual file scanning.
    360 sucks :thumbd:

avg suite and norton 2007 are both fantastic, id feel completely safe and happy using both, it really does depend whichever you prefer, i know its often said, but in this case its true.

also, i agree.... 360 is :thumbd:

    it was on topic,

360, no right click scanning, the fact you have to scan through everything all the time, such as weak passwords and pc optimization, no thanks.

also, the backup tool is useless and a waste of money, backs up countless stuff you just dont want.

    360 - 6/10
    IS 2007 - 9/10

360 ofcourse. There is no comparison. Its fire and forget. Low footprint, even lower than the 20MB for NIS 2007. I like the free online backup. ALthough space is limited, at least I have the reassurance that some of my most precious docs are some place outside my house (in case it burns down).

I wouldn't go for Norton 360, but for NIS 2007 instead. Runs very nice, and can be used on up to 3 computers

IMO both Norton 360 and NIS 2007 are better than AVG in almost every regard. NIS 2007 is of course more recommended due to reasons stated earlier by other posters as well as price, *but* I prefer AVG because of the technical support as Grisoft's support is VERY good at the moment, the best I've ever had from an AV vendor. Symantec's support is hit-and-miss, and they never replied to my sales related questions, but maybe technical support varies from sales support...

I agree on the fact that Symantec's support used to be very bad. Though they offer you two free ways to contact their support now, by e-mail and live-support.

(Ps. I saw your messages with Nika, you'll hear from me!)
