    Hello,

does anyone using norton 2011 have a norton folder under programdata windows vista/7 or application data windows xp around over 800mb in size?

i do have the norton bootable recovery disc creater installed on this machine but 857mb for that folder does seem big.

i ahve posted on the norton forums but wondered if the size is the norm or if im the exception,

There's one around 344MB (vista x64). I only have NIS2011 installed on this machine. I'll check under windows 7 when I get home.

EDIT: The one on windows 7 (x32) is about 541MB.

I have just reinstalled nis2011 using the lastest installer NIS-ESD-18-6-0-29-EN
i also reinstalled the norton recovery disc builder.
the norton folder under program data is currently 554mb.

The norton bootable disc wizard downloads the virus definations in to its own folder which means I have those files twice which equals 466mb

I hope in future versions the recovery disc builder can reuse the files from the installed version of NIS.

Symantec should work on the size of their signitures one of the files is 144mb which is bigger than some other companies total database.
