Hi got a 30 day trial from the Australian PC User magazine. Seemed to have a username and password set up already when I installed it..however that doesnt actually allow me to update at all.

Is it just the case that 30 day trial means no updating or I have somehow missed some option?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you went online, and waited within one hour, it would start updating, then it may take a 40 mins, on dialup to finish the 1st update. After that it will update quickly.

    (Manual update)
But you can go to the control centre, the updates, then the update now button which will force it to update that instance.

Its just that by default nod will check for updates every 1 hour i believe.

The trial version provided in the PC User magazine or on our websites does not allow updating after the 30-day trial period has run out. If you are a registered user, uninstall the trial version and download & install the commercial version from our website.

The trial version will update the Virus Signature Database, it will not update the main engine...

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D
