I just spoke to Nathan at AXTM chat and he has informed me that a non public beta is available. He offered to send me a link but since I am not the beta testing type I declined and mentioned I would post the info here. If you would like to be a beta tester go to the AXTM website and via live chat request the link. You should note that after typing your post you will be told that they are off line and will get back to you if you provide your e-mail address. I did and a few moments later Nathan answered.

Here is the home page link http://ax64.com/

EDIT: well Nathan seems to have disappeared so waiting for a live chat reply may not be a good way to go. If you are interested it might be a better idea to simply send support an e-mail.

As Pete has mentioned... if the Build # is 604, this version failed right out of the box (beginning of HOT restore). Possibly this build is newer... we'll see.

The Build # offered is 608... FYI!

I tested it. Its driver is randomly using CPU for no reason and it doesn't shut down when its installed.

I have it on my system now. So far so good. Done a few hot restores, and they worked. Nothing strenuous.

Thanks Pete, as you say, so far, so good. Which is a heck of a lot better than not good at all.

You should hold off on V2 for a while as there were problems with it that will hopefully be fixed by the next release.
