Still no response from the official ESET employees on this o_O

Should I start a separate thread?

That will not be necessary since the relevant posts have been split out of this 2.7 announcement thread and placed in this thread for assistance.

Anti-stealth cannot be initialized in safe mode, that's normal.

Has there been any changes to the config.xml file? Where can one find these changes? (If we wish to deploy and enable the new features etc)? Is there a new config.xml editor now too?

Looks great guys! I just did an install over 2.5 on my brother's machine (XP sp2) and it was flawless.

Having two years left on my NOD32 licence, I almost wish I hadn't changed to the best antivirus measure out there... Linux! LOL :D

Still I do use XP every now and then still, so I'm sure NOD will continue to do the business for me. Way to go Eset :)

    Have tried to download 2.70.
Applied username and password per copy and paste from
my NOD32 2.5 installation. Download server does not accept
these user data, continuously asking for username and pass.
Do you know the problem ?
    My nod32 2.5 installation (for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista (32-bit/64-bit))
can without any problems update its data basis.

Either you typed in your username/password incorrectly, or your license has recently expired. Could you PM me your username?

    Thanks for your answer.
    I don't think so!
Thirst: what type mistake can I do while copying username/password from my NOD32 control center and pasting them to login dialog (browser) ?
Secondly: my NOD32 can update its virus databank without any problems.

User name can I tell you in afternoon.

The browser will not accept a "space" before or after the Username / Password, if you have a space it will be rejected.

Examples of such an instance can be found HERE

    Cheers :D

This version has the option to exclude folders from Nod32 Scanner?

That has been possible for a long time, just takes a little time depending on what you want excluded in the scan.

Here's how I do it. Saves me loads of time when it's not scanning my $ISR folders :)

No, those are inclusions, not exclusions. There is a difference. While your method may satisfy some people's needs, it is not a way to exclude folders or files.

Suppose you wish to exclude folder "C:\Program Files\xyz" from a scan (but scan everything else). With your method, the user has to explicitly include each top-level folder to be scanned and also each and every folder in "C:\Program Files", except for xyz. Not only that, if and when a new folder is added to the hard drive, it will not be scanned unless the scanner's configuration is manually changed. If it were possible to add exclusions, it would be a simple matter to add an exclusion and not have to worry about re-configuring NOD32 every time a new folder is created.

It works just just fine for any root folders, but it can be rather time consuming if you wanna exclude folders inside folders.
I'd love to hear your method.

Like I said, it's not just a matter of it being time consuming - what you do will only suffice for disks with small numbers of top-level folders, and then only if it is a top-level folder the user wants to exclude, and then only if the user (or programs) doesn't subsequently add new top-level folders. I understand what it is you described, but it is not folder exclusion.

MY method?? It's for Eset to provide this, not me. Lots of people have asked for it, and so I would expect it to delivered at some stage.
