NOD32 v4 and sharing files on Win Server 2003 (very weird)

    On the MS Windows Server 2003 SP2 that had the problem I described in this thread the NOD32 AV 4.0.474 is currently installed and its configuration doesn't have the option you mentioned:
    Antivirus and antispyware -> Protocol Filtering -> Excluded applications
    Instead it has the following similar option:
    Antivirus and antispyware -> Web access protection -> Web browsers

    Although the svchost.exe and explorer.exe have not been checked in that list, the Windows clients accessing the files shared on that server experienced the said problem.

    In the meantime, as a workaround to the problem I disabled scanning of all shared folders on the server.
