It doesn't matter why he/she wants to disable those modules.

i can also see when you disable web/email protection and restart window the protection automatically enable
eset provide only temporary disable these protection's not fully disable
so you must always disable web/email protection every time OS Start
and keep in mind eset provide different kind of method from these protection's to secure your pc from viruses

in v2.7 you can disable web(imon)/email(emon) protection completely
    but in v3 temporary only

As far as I can see, you can permanently disable e-mai-check and web-check, if you uncheck "files" in the respective ThreadSense-settings.

This said, I would not do that. (But I may be useful for checking in some situation, if those protections are the culprit for any problem.)

I used to like nod32 because of it's configurability, but it's gotten a lot less in v3.
Not being able to disable things and the not being able to prevent creation of "infected items" folder in outlook is really ridiculous.

Doing it in the home user version is...well still not good but i can understand why, but why also in the corperate version?

    Please change this behaviour !
We as an IT service company are already reconsidering using another AV for new customers due to this. If we wanted a scanner without any control we would just go for Symantec or McAfee.

When i said symantec i meant the corporate AV software, not norton.
It's slightly better but not by much, i was just trying to make a point. I just think it's a damn shame eset is taking that direction.

As said i can understand these things in a home user version, but not in a corporate version. Maybe eset should also create different home and corporate version like symantec, mcafee and others do.
(I know eset has already done this, but i once installed the home version as a test and couldn't really spot any differences in the scanner options, forgot to check if has options to connect to admin console but i suspect those will be missing.)

    well yes
i unchecked every options in the module email , and i was able to disable it
and at the reboot nod keeps the module off
but if click on the icon , it changes the color and become orange
and tells me that i have to enable it , but they are only warnings

but the new nod is buggy so i like more stay sticky with 2.7 for now
