Do they have a list of whats been improved over version 2.7?

Eset does not have a public list of improvements but perhaps they would make one when the final version is released and when all ehhancements are in place . Just look ESS , exclude the firewall and you'll see the +

 

I want to know whats under the hood though.

For a long time Eset haven't release beta test but still beta 1 b only.

That's correct. More testing so the next beta build will be a good improvement
