Minor fixes, but other than that I don't know.

    Cheers :D

Will it install over the previous version, and can a trial upgrade to the V2.70.32?

The user name and password I got for the trial version permits the download.

    Thanks,
    Jerry

Hi Jerry, you will not see a single difference between minor version number releases. Usually the fixes are for very specific problems seen under certain specific conditions.

    Cheers :D

The difference will be noticed only by users who upgraded an eval 9x version to a full version immediately after the 1st update. I for one do not think a single person has ever run into such an issue.

I installed 2.70.32 and made the egregious mistake of trying to use IMON's built-in "repair" function. Rather than repairing anything, it hung, and made spaghetti of my Winsock keys. Then the real fun began, since Explorer wouldn't load (for some reason).

I restored from a backup and reinstalled 2.70.32, and see no difference. I do see that IMON still makes many web pages hang during loading, and very often prevents images in web pages from loading at all.

Setting your browser to Higher compatibility mode should help, or try lowering the file size for automatic switching to HC mode in the IMON setup. It's not a problem of NOD32 as such, but your browser doesn't like the fact that all stuff is first downloaded and scanned by IMON when set to HE mode.

Thanks, Marcos. What I've wished for eons is that I could use wildcards with IMON, to exclude just problematic domains.

And for some reason, I can't exclude http://www.penguinmagic.com (which is a really problematic site to use with IMON) at all. If I specify that IMON should exclude www.penguinmagic.com and/or penguinmagic.com, it still scans everything, and prevents images from loading everywhere on that site.

Will this update come down the pipes on automatic update? I have yet to see it.

Only if it's a major update (like fixing a critical bug/error/security issue) I think.

But without release notes, how is one to know whether or not their issue(s) were addressed? I have a few NOD32 issues, and so I always just go ahead and update each time, in blind, desperate hope...

I have 2.50 version installed (registered user). Automatic update is on. Do I have to go with 2.7?
Should I install over the old one or uninstall previous and then install again?

    Hi Blackspear,

I've learned a lot from your professional advice, thank you.

A small question: By above comments, are you implying that NOD32 can also upgrade its major version number via automatic update, e.g. from 2.70.23 to 2.70.32, and not restricted to updating its seperate, individual modules integrated? Thanks in advance

    Regards
