I removed Nod32 from my system, but computer has been acting up recently, so I restored XP back to a previous point.

Now Nod32 is partially installed and any attempt at uninstallation is met with an error stating that there is a corrupt/ missing uninstall file.

I've tried removing in safe mode from Add/ Remove programs and also by using the uninstaller in the Start menu.

How can I remove this manually?

Will a dirty re-install over the existing files help me remove Nod32 completely?

    Thanks

    Did u try this?

That's what i would do first. If it works be sure to delete the Eset Folder afterwards.

I have a partially installed NOD32 and cannot access any information they require for their email support. I cannot ring because they are closed and I do not want to wait until after the weekend.

    Can you help?

I would go into Safe Mode and delete the folders/files and then edit the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Eset) to remove all Eset entries.

I had a problem removing the KAV folders when I tried it out for 30 days. Only editing in Safe Mode would do the trick.

Yes the dirty re-installation worked and I was able to get a clean removal. I was unsure whether to try this as I didn't want to pollute my system.

    Thanks :)
