Hi I am a registered user on my second year with nod32 and have been very happy with it. I am getting problems now when trying to to on demand scans. I am unable to do an IN-depth scan as it instantly crashes and I get an error saying nod32 on demand scanner has encountered a problem and needs to close. appname nod32.exe appver: 2.70.39.0 offset: 00ac04c0. I seem to be able to do a scan of local disks and scan under Run Nod32 (on deman scan) but if I go into the setup area and select use advanced heuristics it won't scan the scan window just disappears and leaves no error message. I uninstalled and reinstalled nod32 and it didn't help. The only other active running security app is outpost firewall pro 4 and I tried disabling it but nod32 still won't scan properly. Any ideas? Thanks
My operating system is winxp home and it's updated. A Core 2 duo @ 2.13, 2 gb ram.

Not sure whether it is related, but after just having updated to definitions 2387 I too have a problem trying to do a full scan.

About an hour ago I did a full scan with definitions 2386, and had no problems.

    Hello,

Its a fair chance that something within the 2387 update has "broken" Nod32.

I have setup Nod32 to scan after each ThreatSense
update is released. Nod32 scanned witout error using the 2386 update; it now refuses scan with update #2387.

The scanning log all show "?" in the scanned/infected/cleaned columns.

Hopefully Eset release a fixed update soon.

All related to last update. Please manually update to latest signature and all should be ok.

    Cheers :D

Whoaa, well that was pretty fast. My nod32 updated to 2388 on it's own and now scan seems to be working. Thank you Eset for the fast fix also thanks for the informative replies.
