I purchased and downloaded the latest build of Veritas (Symantec) Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers.

At the end of the download NOD32 reports that 8 CAB files are infected with heuristic type virus and should not be accepted.

It is in a ZIP file so I accepted the file and rescanned manually, and yes, it still reports that 8 CAB files are infected with a heuristic type virus.

While I await the official Veritas answer to this, I am running it by the masses here for feedback before the corporates get back to me.

    False positive?

Here is the message NOD32 produced when I downloaded the trial version from Symantec/Veritas....

    E:\Downloads\Veritas\BEWS_11D_32BIT_VERSION.zip »ZIP »WINNT/INSTALL/BE/IDR.cab »CAB »bedrwiz_de.ex_1.1B15BB01_8E2D_4A12_A3E6_175864F3EF67 »CAB »bedrwiz.exe - probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus [7]

So it is in both the trial and retail builds.
