    Hi,

I have a question about the NOD32 licence.
    I have a NOD32 licence for W98SE.
Let's say I want to upgrade to XP, same computer.
Can I still use my licence?
I suppose I need to install the XP-version of NOD32; correct?
In case I cannot use my existing licence, how to handle in that case?

    Another situation:
Who knows, maybe I might be able to get a new computer with XP somewhere in the future, and I don't want to use the existing old computer with W98SE anymore, at least not with NOD32 on it.
Would I be able to use my existing NOD32 licence on that new one?
Of course I understand that I need two NOD32 licences in case I would like to use NOD32 on both of them.

Well, at the moment all theoretical questions, but I would like to know the answers.

    Thanks in advance !
    Regards, Jan.

    Hey FanJ...
Your license is through the ESET servers, not so much your system. When you recieved your email with your username and password, and the link to download, you were able to choose which OS you were using. With your license, you can use it for whatever you paid for. IF you paid for 1-year single-home license, then you should be able to change your OS, install the correct version of NOD with out any problems

You would need 1 license per operating system.

    I Hope that helps :)

    Hi Capp,

Thanks for your answer ! :D

Just checked it, and it works indeed as you wrote (of course!).
LOL, I should have checked before asking

Well, I'm glad to know in case I want to change OS somewhere in the future...

    Yep, I understand that.

    Thanks again Capp !
    Warm regards, Jan.

You may change OS versions as often as you wish. Just remember you can only have one version of NOD (regardless of OS version) updating per license you purchased. That is another one of the advantages of NOD over Symantec or McAfee which do not have similar licensing policies, (at least to my knowledge).
