    Hi
many av company provide a tool (small program) to make a clean uninstall/install of the av

i'm running on the laptop nod32 2.7 and in the desktop nod32 V3 last built with last updates

i tried to uninstall both and install nod32 4 , but i get many issues , bsod and so on , so i dropped it

well is there a tool to make a full clean install of nod?

i mean uninstall it via control panel
    reboot
and use a tool to clean it as well

    thanks

No...but it's bizzare that on their site ESET greatly provide links to removal tools for other AV's instead of tool for clean uninstall of their own software.

That procedure is only required for a failed uninstall, all the other AV tools boast that their tools are only required for a failed uninstall but that's not true, it's required for a FULL uninstall.

Read my post, the nod32 uninstaller is a clean uninstall. The only reason that guide was made is for the rare case the uninstall fails. If you're paranoid about empty reg entries then install Revo Uninstaller which is free, and use that to uninstall nod32, it will then remove the empty reg entries after.

or you can try uninstalling nod32 with Your Uninstaller http://www.ursoftware.com/, works as a charm, have installed/uninstalled/reinstalled v3 and v4 for I don't know how many times, never had a problem. It will clean your registry and folder leftovers as well. :)

    Cheers,
    Miki

    Hello Mantra,

Remnants of previous versions may not be causing the BSOD. The 4.0 install may be causing this instead. Please put in a support request here: http://www.eset.com/support/contact.php.

    Thank you,
    Richard

The catch is NOT to do reboot when asked, but to let YU to clean registry and folder leftovers and THEN do reboot. Works every time :)

Can you not read? A cleaner is not required for v3 or v4 because the msi uninstaller does a full uninstall.

I dont know what the big deal is. Manually uninstalling completely doesn't take long at all. You can just create a script and use avenger if your going to be doing this on a regular basis to multiple workstations.
