This is the NOD support forum. This is not a comparison area here.

Post any comments on other antivirus programs in the other antivirus forum.

    Fixed,
I was just answereing the "SUIT" comment by Stephanos G.

BUt in the end my original message is regarding NOD32 SPYWARE removal and detection capability. I know they are trying but I do not believe they should label themselves with Anti-Spyware capability...at least NOT JUST YET.

But then again NORTON 2005 has added ANTI-SPYWARE compoenents and those are as bad as salt on the wound.

OK, I gave Microsoft Antispyware a try then did a demo of Counterspy and found Counterspy was a bit lighter on resources. After doing some reading I came to find that Counterspy has about 3 times the signatures and checks loads more of your reg keys. I am now a member of their licensed user team, thanks for the tip... :D

It's pretty much a dead even race between the two in the comparison PCWorld recently did. MSAntispy came to their labs too late to make the full article, but in time to do a sidebar article on it and run it through the same lab tests. I think it actually scored 2 points higher in removals.

Not knocking Counterspy, I just think a lot of people who follow the trendy "anti-Microsoft crowd" tend to have doubts about their new Antispyware product "just because it's Microsoft". It really is quite solid, I have found the Advanced tools to be very helpful in working on some clients rigs, and I can't think of any other good free products out there that auto update, have real time protection, and default scan once a day.
